Translation by Th. Byrom:
One man believes in existence,
Another says, “There is nothing!”
Rare is the man who believes in neither.
He is free from confusion.

from The Heart of Awareness: A Translation of the Ashtavakra Gita, by Thomas Byrom, 1990; Shambhala Publications, Inc., Boston.

Translation by J. Richards:
Some think that something exists, and others that nothing does. Rare is the man who does not think either, and is thereby free from distraction.
