Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith is a 2005 space opera film. It is the final film of the Star Wars prequel trilogy. The film is set three years after the start of the Clone Wars; the noble Jedi Knights are spread across the galaxy leading a massive clone army against the Separatists. After Chancellor Palpatine is kidnapped by the evil General Grievous, Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi and his former Padawan Anakin Skywalker are dispatched to rescue him. Opening crawl

War! The Republic is crumbling under attacks by the ruthless Sith Lord, Count Dooku. There are heroes on both sides. Evil is everywhere.

In a stunning move, the fiendish droid leader, General Grievous, has swept into the Republic capital and kidnapped Chancellor Palpatine, leader of the Galactic Senate.

As the Separatist Droid Army attempts to flee the besieged capital with their valuable hostage, two Jedi Knights lead a desperate mission to rescue the captive Chancellor...

Dialogue

Anakin Skywalker: Lock onto him, R2. Master, General Grievous' ship is dead ahead. The one crawling with vulture droids.

Obi-Wan Kenobi: Oh, I see it. Oh, this is going to be easy! Oddball, form up a squadron behind me.

Clone Pilot: We're on your tail, General Kenobi. Set S-Foils to attack position. (Fighter then prepares to attack the Droid Tri Fighters)

Anakin Skywalker: What was that all about?

Obi-Wan Kenobi: Well, R2 has been...

Anakin Skywalker: [Interrupts] Uh, no 'loose wire' jokes.

Obi-Wan Kenobi: Did I say anything?

Anakin Skywalker: He's trying.

Obi-Wan Kenobi: I didn't say anything!

Obi-Wan Kenobi: Are you alright, Chancellor?

Palpatine: Count Dooku.

Obi-Wan Kenobi: This time, we will do it together.

Anakin Skywalker: I was about to say that.

Chancellor Palpatine: Get help. You're no match for him, he's a Sith Lord.

Obi-Wan Kenobi: [turns and smiles] Chancellor Palpatine, Sith Lords are our speciality.

Count Dooku: Your swords, please. We don't want to make a mess of things in front of the Chancellor.

Obi-Wan Kenobi: You won't get away this time, Dooku.

Count Dooku: I've been looking forward to this.

Anakin Skywalker: My powers have doubled since the last time we met, Count.

Count Dooku: Good. Twice the pride, double the fall.

[Anakin has Dooku on his knees. Having cut off Dooku's hands and caught his red lightsaber, Anakin is about to finish the job by going to use his lightsabers as scissors]

Chancellor Palpatine: [Joyful] Good, Anakin, good. [Suddenly turns sinister] Kill him. Kill him now. [Dooku looks shocked]

Anakin Skywalker: [Hesitates] ... I shouldn't.

Chancellor Palpatine: [Angrily] Do it!

[Anakin decapitates Dooku]

Chancellor Palpatine: You did well, Anakin. He was too dangerous to be kept alive.

Anakin Skywalker: Yes... but he was an unarmed prisoner. I shouldn't have done that, it's not the Jedi way.

Chancellor Palpatine: It is only natural. He cut off your arm, and you wanted revenge. It wasn't the first time, Anakin. Remember what you told me about your mother and the Sand People?

General Grievous: Ah, yes... the negotiator, General Kenobi. We've been waiting for you.

Battle Droid: Excuse me. [Takes Anakin's and Obi Wan's lightsabers from them]

General Grievous: [Angrily snatches the lightsabers from the droid] That wasn't much of a rescue.

Battle Droid: [Sarcastically] You're welcome.

General Grievous: And Anakin Skywalker. I was expecting someone of your reputation to be a little... older.

Anakin Skywalker: General Grievous. You're shorter than I expected.

Obi-Wan Kenobi: We have a job to do, Anakin. Try not to upset him.

[Grievous puts the Lightsabers in his pockets]

Mace Windu: You all right, Chancellor?

Palpatine: Yes. Thanks to your Jedi Knights, I was rescued. They killed Count Dooku, but Grievous has escaped.

Mace Windu: Grievous will always run. He's a coward. We will make finding him our top priority.

Anakin: [After reassuring Padmé that the rumors surrounding him during his absence were false] Are you all right? You're trembling.

Padmé: Something wonderful has happened. Ani... I'm pregnant.

Anakin: [Pauses out of shock] ...That's... Well, that's won- that's wonderful.

General Grievous: Yes, Lord Sidious?

Darth Sidious: General Grievous, I suggest you move the Separatist leaders to Mustafar.

General Grievous: It will be done, my lord.

Darth Sidious: The end of the war is near, General.

General Grievous: But, the loss of Count Dooku...

Darth Sidious: His death was a necessary loss. Soon, I will have a new apprentice. One far younger, and more powerful.

Anakin Skywalker: Sometimes I wonder what's happening to the Jedi Order. I think this war is destroying the principles of the Republic.

Padmé Amidala: Have you ever considered that we may be on the wrong side?

Anakin Skywalker: What do you mean?

Padmé Amidala: What if the democracy we thought we were serving no longer exists, and the Republic has become the very evil we've been fighting to destroy?

Anakin Skywalker: I don't believe that, and you're sounding like a Separatist.

Padmé Amidala: What this war represents is a failure to listen. Now you're closer to the Chancellor than anyone, please, ask him to stop the fighting and let the diplomacy resume.

Anakin Skywalker: Don't ask me to do that.

Master Yoda: Allow this appointment lightly, the Council does not. Disturbing, is this move by Chancellor Palpatine.

Anakin Skywalker: I understand.

Mace Windu: You are on this council, but we do not grant you the rank of Master.

Anakin Skywalker: ... What? How can you do this? This is outrageous! It's unfair! How can you be on the council and not be a master?!

Mace Windu: [Sternly] Take a seat, young Skywalker.

Anakin Skywalker: Forgive me, Master.

Obi-Wan Kenobi: The Council wants you to report on all of the Chancellor's dealings. They want to know what he's up to.

Anakin Skywalker: They want me to spy on the Chancellor? That's treason!

Obi-Wan Kenobi: We are at war, Anakin.

Anakin Skywalker: Why you are asking me to do this?

Obi-Wan Kenobi: Because the Council needs your help.

Mace Windu: It's very dangerous putting them together. I don't think the boy can handle it. I don't trust him.

Obi-Wan Kenobi: With all due respect, Master, is he not the Chosen One? Is he not to destroy the Sith and bring balance to the Force?

Mace Windu: So the prophecy says.

Master Yoda: A prophecy that misread could have been.

Obi-Wan: He will not let me down. He never has.

Anakin Skywalker: You wanted to see me, Chancellor.

Chancellor Palpatine: Yes, Anakin. Come closer, I have good news. Our Clone Intelligence Units have discovered the location of General Grievous. He's hiding, in the Utapau system.

Anakin Skywalker: At last! We'll be able to capture that monster and end this war.

Chancellor Palpatine: I would worry about the collective wisdom of the Council if they didn't select you for this assignment. You are the best choice, by far. Sit down. [to the Senators sitting with them] Leave us. [they do so] Anakin... you know I'm not able to rely on the Jedi Council. If they haven't included you in their plot, they soon will.

Anakin Skywalker: I'm not sure I understand.

Chancellor Palpatine: You must sense what I have come to suspect. The Jedi Council want control of the Republic. They're planning to betray me.

Anakin Skywalker: I don't think...

Chacellor Palpatine: Anakin. Search your feelings. You know, don't you?

Anakin Skywalker: I know they don't trust you.

Chancellor Palpatine: Or the Senate. Or the Republic. Or democracy, for that matter.

Anakin Skywalker: I have to admit, my trust in them has been shaken.

Chacellor Palpatine: Why? They asked you to do something that made you feel dishonest, didn't they? [pause] They asked you to spy on me, didn't they?

Anakin Skywalker: I don't know what to say.

Chancellor Palpatine: Remember back to your early teachings, Anakin. All those who gain power are afraid to lose it. Even the Jedi.

Anakin Skywalker: The Jedi use their power for good.

Chancellor Palpatine: Did you ever hear the Tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise?

Anakin Skywalker: No.

Chancellor Palpatine: I thought not. It's not a story the Jedi would tell you. It's a Sith legend. Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith, so powerful and so wise, that he could use the Force to influence the midi-chlorians to create... life. He had such a knowledge of the Dark Side that he could even keep the ones he cared about... from dying.

Anakin Skywalker: He could actually... save people from death?

Chancellor Palpatine: The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural.

Anakin Skywalker: What happened to him?

Chancellor Palpatine: He became so powerful, the only thing he was afraid of was losing his power... which, eventually of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew. And then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. Plagueis never saw it coming. Ironic. He could save others from death... but not himself.

Anakin Skywalker: Is it possible to learn this power?

Chancellor Palpatine: Not from a Jedi.

[Upon arrival on Utapau, Obi-Wan meets the Pau'an Master of Port Administration, Tion Medon]

Tion Medon: Greetings, young Jedi. What brings you to our remote sanctuary?

Obi-Wan Kenobi: Unfortunately, the war.

Tion Medon: There is no war here... [Sternly] unless you've brought it with you.

Obi-Wan Kenobi: With your kind permission, I should like some fuel and to use your city as a base as I search nearby systems for General Grievous.

Tion Medon: [Signals a ground crew of Utai to refuel Obi-Wan's ship, then turns to Obi-Wan secretively] He is here. We are being held hostage. They are watching us.

Obi-Wan Kenobi: I understand.

Tion Medon: Tenth level... thousands of Battle Droids.

Obi-Wan Kenobi: Tell your people to take shelter. If you have warriors, now is the time.

General Grievous: It won't be long before the armies of the Republic track us here. I am sending you to the Mustafar system in the outer rim. It is a volcanic planet which generates a great deal of scanning interference. You will be safe there.

Nute Gunray: Safe?! Hmph! Chancellor Palpatine managed to escape your grip, General! Without Count Dooku, I have doubts about your ability to keep us safe!

General Grievous: Be thankful, Viceroy! You have not found yourself in my grip. Your ship is waiting.

Obi-Wan Kenobi: [jumps down from the upper levels] Hello, there.

[All droids activate their weapons and surround Obi-Wan.]

General Grievous: General Kenobi. You are a bold one. [To the Magna Guards] Kill him!

[The Magna guards advance. Obi-wan pulls down a heating vent on top of them and cut one of their heads off.]

General Grievous: [To the droids] Back away! I will deal with this Jedi slime myself!

Obi-Wan Kenobi: Your move.

General Grievous: You fool! I've been trained in your Jedi arts by Count Dooku.

[Grievous takes off his cloak and his two arms split into four. He coughs during this process. Each activates and wields a stolen lightsaber.]

General Grievous: Attack, Kenobi!

[The Republic arrives to attack the droids and Obi Wan had sliced off Grievous's arms.]

General Grievous: Armed or not, you must realize, you are doomed.

Obi-Wan Kenobi: Oh, I don't think so.

Anakin Skywalker: Chancellor, we've just received a report from Master Kenobi. He has engaged General Grievous.

Chancellor Palpatine: We can only hope that Master Kenobi is up to the challenge.

Anakin Skywalker: I should be there with him.

Chancellor Palpatine: It is upsetting to me to see that the Council doesn't seem to fully appreciate your talents. Don't you wonder why they won't make you a Jedi Master?

Anakin Skywalker: I wish I knew. More and more I get the feeling that I am being excluded from the Council. I know there are things about the Force that they are not telling me.

Chancellor Palpatine: They don't trust you, Anakin. They see your future. They know your power will be too strong to control. Anakin, you must break through the fog of lies the Jedi have created around you. Let me help you to know the subtleties of the Force.

Anakin Skywalker: How do you know the ways of the Force?

Chancellor Palpatine: My mentor taught me everything about the Force...even the nature of the Dark Side.

Anakin Skywalker: You know the Dark Side?!?

Ever since I've known you, you've been searching for a life greater than that of an ordinary Jedi, a life of significance, of conscience. Are you going to kill me?

Anakin Skywalker: I would certainly like to.

Chancellor Palpatine: I know you would. I can feel your anger. It gives you focus, makes you stronger.

[Anakin turns off his lightsaber]

Anakin Skywalker: I am going to turn you over to the Jedi Council.

Chancellor Palpatine: Of course, Anakin, you should. But you're not sure of their intentions, are you? What if I'm right and they are plotting to take over the Republic?

Anakin Skywalker: I will quickly discover the truth of all this.

Chancellor Palpatine: You have great wisdom, Anakin. I want you to meditate on my proposal: know the power of the Dark Side. The power to save Padmé.

Anakin Skywalker: Master Windu, I must to talk to you.

Mace Windu: Skywalker. We just received word that Obi-Wan has destroyed General Grievous. We are on our way to make sure the Chancellor returns emergency power back to the Senate.

Anakin Skywalker: He won't give up his power. I've just learned a terrible truth. I think Chancellor Palpatine is a Sith Lord.

Mace Windu: A Sith Lord?

Anakin Skywalker: Yes. The one we've been looking for.

Mace Windu: How do you know this?

Anakin Skywalker: He knows the ways of the Force. He's been trained to use the dark side.

Mace Windu: Are you sure?

Anakin Skywalker: Absolutely.

Mace Windu: Then our worst fears have been realized. We must move quickly if the Jedi Order is to survive.

Anakin Skywalker: Master, the Chancellor is very powerful. You'll need my help if you're going to arrest him.

Mace Windu: For your own good, stay out of this affair. I sense a great deal of confusion in you, young Skywalker. There is much fear that clouds your judgement.

Anakin Skywalker: I must go, master.

Mace Windu: No! If what you've told me is true, you will have gained my trust. But for now, remain here. Wait in the council chambers until we return.

Anakin Skywalker: Yes, Master.

[Mace Windu, Kit Fisto, Agen Kolar and Master Tiin then speeds off to Palpatine's office a gunship]

Palpatine: Master Windu. I take it General Grievous has been destroyed, then. I must say you are here sooner than expected.

Mace Windu: In the name of the Galactic Senate of the Republic, you are under arrest, Chancellor.

Chancellor Palpatine: [Dangerously] Are you threatening me, Master Jedi?

Mace Windu: The Senate will decide your fate.

Chancellor Palpatine: I am the Senate!

Mace Windu: Not yet.

Chancellor Palpatine: [After yanking out a secret lightsaber] It's treason, then.

[He ignites the saber, then suddenly leaps forward with a roar of aggression. He quickly kills Agen Kolar, Saesee Tiin and Kit Fisto, leaving only Windu to continue the fight.]

[Anakin runs to the Chancellor's office and finds Palpatine, disarmed and cornered by Mace Windu]

Mace Windu: You are under arrest, my lord.

Chancellor Palpatine: Anakin! I told you it would come to this. I was right... The Jedi are taking over!

Mace Windu: The oppression of the Sith will never return! Your plot to gain control of the Republic has failed! It is over! You have lost!

Chancellor Palpatine: ... No. No, no, you will die!

[Palpatine strikes Windu with force-lightning, only to have it deflected back at him, slowly disfiguring his face]

Chancellor Palpatine: [to Anakin] He's a traitor!

Mace Windu: [straining] He is the traitor!

Chancellor Palpatine: I have the power to save the one you love! You must choose!

Mace Windu: Don't listen to him, Anakin!

Chancellor Palpatine: Don't let him kill me! [Apparently weakening] I can't hold it any longer... I-I-I... am too weak...

[At last, he seems forced to stop]

Chancellor Palpatine: Help me! Help me! I... I can't hold on any longer...

Mace Windu: I am going to end this, once and for all!

Anakin Skywalker: You can't. He must stand trial. And face the consequences of his actions.

Mace Windu: He has control over the Senate and the courts! He's too dangerous to be kept alive!

Chancellor Palpatine: I'm too weak... Oh, don't kill me... please...

Anakin Skywalker: It's not the Jedi way. He must live!

[Windu ignores Anakin, and prepares his lightsaber]

Chancellor Palpatine: Please, don't.

Anakin Skywalker: I need him.

Chancellor Palpatine: [More afraid] Please, don't!

Anakin Skywalker: No!

[Anakin tries to stop Windu from hurting the Chancellor, but accidentally severs Windu's hand. Palpatine drops his act and again strikes Windu with force-lightning]

Chancellor Palpatine/Darth Sidious: [Triumphantly] POWER! UNLIMITED... POWER!

[Windu is sent flying through the window to his death]

Anakin Skywalker: [Horrified] What have I done...?!

Darth Sidious: You're fulfilling your destiny, Anakin. Become my apprentice. Learn to use the Dark Side of the Force.

Anakin Skywalker: [Seeing no other option, and apparently out of breath as he speaks] ... I will do whatever you ask.

Darth Sidious: Good!

Anakin Skywalker: Just help me save Padmé's life. I can't live without her.

Darth Sidious: To cheat death is the power only one has achieved, but if we work together...I know we can discover the secret.

Anakin Skywalker: I pledge myself...to your teachings..to the ways of the Sith.

Darth Sidious: Good. Good. ... The Force is strong with you! A powerful Sith, you will become! Anakin Skywalker, you are one with the Order of the Sith Lords. Henceforth, you shall be known as Darth... Vader.

Darth Vader: Thank you, my master.

Darth Sidious: Rise.

Darth Sidious: Because the Council did not trust you, my young apprentice, I believe you're the only Jedi with no knowledge of their plot. When the Jedi learn what has transpired here, they will kill us, along with all the Senators.

Darth Vader: I agree. The Council's next move will be against the Senate.

Darth Sidious: Every single Jedi — including your friend, Obi-Wan Kenobi — is now an enemy of the Republic!

Darth Vader: I understand, Master.

Darth Sidious: We must move quickly. The Jedi are relentless. If they are not all destroyed, there will be civil war without end. First, I want you to go to Jedi Temple. We will catch them off balance. Do what must be done, Lord Vader. Do not hesitate. Show no mercy. Only then, will you be strong enough with the Dark Side to save Padmé.

Darth Vader: What about the other Jedi that are spread across the galaxy?

Darth Sidious: Their betrayal will be dealt with. After you have killed all the Jedi in the temple, go to the Mustafar system. Wipe out Viceroy Gunray and the other Separatist leaders. Once more, the Sith will rule the galaxy! And we shall have... peace.

Palpatine: The war is over. The Separatists have been eliminated. And the Jedi rebellion has been foiled. We stand on the threshold of a new beginning.

Bail Organa: What's happening?

Padmé: The Chancellor has been elaborating on a plot by the Jedi to overthrow the Senate.

Palpatine: The remaining Jedi will be hunted down and defeated! Any collaborators will suffer the same fate! These have been trying times, but we have passed the test. The attempt on my life has left me scarred and deformed. But, I assure you, my resolve has never been stronger! In order to ensure our security and continuing stability, the Republic will be reorganized into the First Galactic Empire...for a safe and secure society!

Padmé: So this is how liberty dies...with thunderous applause.

[After the massacre at the Jedi temple]

Obi-Wan Kenobi: I've recalibrated the code, warning all surviving Jedi to stay away.

Master Yoda: For the clones, to discover the recalibration, a long time, it will take. And to change it back, longer, still.

Obi-Wan Kenobi: Wait, Master. There is something I must know. [inspects a security hologram]

Master Yoda: If into the security recordings you go, only pain, will you find.

Obi-Wan Kenobi: I must know the truth, Master.

[The hologram shows Anakin/Vader killing children, and pledging his alliegance to Palpatine]

Obi-Wan Kenobi: [Horrified] It can't be. It can't be!

Palpatine: [On hologram] You have done well, my new apprentice. Now, Lord Vader, go and bring peace to the Empire.

Obi-Wan Kenobi: [Horrified] I can't watch anymore! [Obi-Wan deactivates the hologram]

Master Yoda: Destroy the Sith, we must.

Obi-Wan Kenobi: Send me to kill the Emperor. I will not kill Anakin.

Yoda: To fight this Lord Sidious, strong enough, you are not.

Obi-Wan Kenobi: He is like my brother. I cannot do it.

Master Yoda: Twisted by the dark side, young Skywalker has become. The boy you trained... gone, he is. Consumed by Darth Vader.

Obi-Wan Kenobi: I do not know where the Emperor has sent him. I don't know where to look.

Yoda: Use your feelings, Obi-Wan, and find him, you will. Pay the new Emperor a visit, I must.

Obi-Wan Kenobi: Padmé, I need your help. He's in grave danger.

Padmé Amidala: From the Sith?

Obi-Wan Kenobi: From himself. Padmé... Anakin has turned to the dark side.

Padmé Amidala: [Horrified] You're wrong! How could you even say that?!

Obi-Wan Kenobi: I have seen a security hologram of him... killing younglings.

Padmé Amidala: Not Anakin! He couldn't...

Obi-Wan Kenobi: He was deceived by a lie. We all were. It appears that the Chancellor is behind everything, including the war. Palpatine is the Sith Lord we've been looking for. After the death of Count Dooku, Anakin became his new apprentice.

Padmé Amidala: I don't believe you! I can't...

Obi-Wan Kenobi: Padmé, I must find him.

Padmé Amidala: You're going to kill him, aren't you?

Obi-Wan Kenobi: He has become a very great threat. [Pause] Anakin is the father, isn't he? [She doesn't answer] I'm so sorry.

Darth Vader: I saw your ship. What are you doing out here?

Padmé Amidala: I was so worried about you. Obi-Wan told me terrible things.

Darth Vader: What things?

Padmé Amidala: He said you turned to the dark side. That you... killed younglings.

Darth Vader: Obi-Wan is trying to turn you against me.

Padmé Amidala: He cares about us.

Darth Vader: Us?

Padmé Amidala: He knows. He wants to help you. Anakin. All I want is your love.

Darth Vader: Love won't save you, Padmé. Only my new powers can do that.

Padmé Amidala: At what cost? You're a good person. Don't do this!

Darth Vader: I won't lose you the way I lost my mother. I've become more powerful than any Jedi has ever dreamed of. And I'm doing it for you, to protect you.

Padmé Amidala: Come away with me. Help me raise our child. Leave everything else behind while we still can.

Darth Vader: Don't you see? We don't have to run away anymore. I have brought peace to the Republic. I am more powerful than the Chancellor, I-I-I-I can overthrow him. And together you and I can rule the galaxy! Make things the way we want them to be!

Padmé Amidala: [steps away] I can't believe what I'm hearing. Obi-Wan was right. You've changed.

Darth Vader: I don't want to hear any more about Obi-Wan. The Jedi turned against me, don't you turn against me!

Padmé Amidala: I don't know you anymore. Anakin, you're breaking my heart. You're going down a path I can't follow.

Darth Vader: Because of Obi-Wan?

Padmé Amidala: Because of what you've done! What you plan to do. Stop, stop now. Come back. I love you!

Darth Vader: [Seeing Obi-Wan emerge from the ship] LIAR!!!

Padmé Amidala: No!

Darth Vader: You're with him! You brought him here to kill me! [Begins to choke Padmé]

Padmé Amidala: No--

Obi-Wan Kenobi: Let her go, Anakin!

Padmé Amidala: Anakin...

Obi-Wan Kenobi: Let...her...go!

[Vader releases Padmé, who collapses]

Darth Vader: You turned her against me!

Obi-Wan Kenobi: You have done that yourself!

Darth Vader: You will not take her from me!

Obi-Wan Kenobi: Your anger and your lust for power have already done that. You have allowed this Dark Lord to twist your mind, until now... until now you have become the very thing you swore to destroy.

Darth Vader: Don't lecture me, Obi-Wan! I see through the lies of the Jedi! I do not fear the Dark Side as you do! I have brought peace, freedom, justice and security to my new Empire!

Obi-Wan Kenobi: Your new Empire?

Darth Vader: Don't make me kill you!

Obi-Wan Kenobi: Anakin, my allegiance is with the Republic... to democracy!

Darth Vader: If you're not with me... then you're my enemy!

Obi-Wan Kenobi: Only a Sith deals in absolutes. I will do what I must.

Darth Vader: You will try.

[Yoda aproaches the Emperor and he knocked out two Red Guards Unconsious with the force]

Master Yoda: I hear a new apprentice you have, Emperor... or should I call you Darth Sidious?

Emperor Palpatine: Master Yoda... you survived.

Master Yoda: Surprised?

Emperor Palpatine: Your arrogance blinds you, Master Yoda. Now you will experience.... the full power of the dark side!

[He strikes Yoda to the floor with Force Lightning]

Emperor Palpatine: I have waited a long time for this moment, my little green friend. At last, the Jedi are no more.

Yoda: Not if anything to say about it I have!

[Yoda Force-flings Palpatine across the room and across his desk]

Yoda: At an end, your rule is. And not short enough, it was!

[Palpatine leaps towards a door in panic, but Yoda leaps in and blocks his way]

Yoda: If so powerful you are... why leave? [Ignites his lightsaber]

Emperor Palpatine: You will not stop me! Darth Vader will become more powerful than either of us! [Ignites his lightsaber]

Yoda: Faith in your new apprentice, misplaced may be. As is your faith in the dark side of the Force.

[Clone troopers search for Yoda's body]

Clone Commander Thire: There is no sign of his body, sir.

Mas Amedda: Then, he is not dead.

Emperor Palpatine: Double your search!

Clone Commander Thire: Yes, sir! Right away, sir! [The troopers leave]

Emperor Palpatine: [to Mas Amedda] Tell Captain Kagi to prepare my shuttle for immediate takeoff.

Mas Amedda: Yes, Master.

Emperor Palpatine: I sense Lord Vader is in danger...

Obi-Wan Kenobi: I have failed you, Anakin. I have failed you.

Darth Vader: I should have known the Jedi were plotting to take over"!

Obi-Wan Kenobi: Anakin, Chancellor Papaltine is evil!

Darth Vader: From my point of view, the Jedi are evil!

Obi-Wan Kenobi: Then, you are lost!

Obi-Wan Kenobi: It's over, Anakin! I have the high ground!

Darth Vader: You underestimate my power!

Obi-Wan Kenobi: Don't try it.

[Obi-Wan Kenobi has cut off Vader's legs and part of his remaining good arm on one of Mustafar's higher grounds. Vader is struggling near the lava river]

Obi-Wan Kenobi: You were the Chosen One! You were supposed to destroy the Sith, not join them...Bring balance to the Force, not leave it in darkness! [He picks up Anakin Skywalker's light saber]

Darth Vader: I HATE YOU!

Obi-Wan Kenobi: You were my brother, Anakin. I loved you!

[Vader, now too close to the lava river, catches on fire. Obi-Wan leaves]

[Darth Vader is now a cyborg with prothesic legs and arms, fully clothed in black armor with respirator mask. The operating table he is on has risen to vertical position]

Emperor Palpatine: Lord Vader, can you hear me?

Darth Vader: [In mechanical voice] Yes, Master. Where is Padmé? Is she safe? Is she alright?

Emperor Palpatine: It seems, that in your anger, you killed her.

Darth Vader: I... I couldn't have. She was alive! I felt it!

[In his anguish, Vader damages several surrounding objects and droids through the Force. He then breaks the clamps that have been holding him down and takes a few steps forward. Palpatine watches, grinning cruelly.]

Darth Vader: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Deleted Scenes:

[Anakin Skywalker pulls out his lightsaber and begins fusing the hatch Obi-Wan Kenobi and he just crawled through]

[Anakin completes sealing the hatch.]

Anakin Skywalker: This side's pressurized.

Obi-Wan Kenobi: Anakin, you still have much to learn. That will never hold!

[Fuel then hits electrical rods, causing a massive explosion. A large dent pushes the hatch, but it stays intact and unmoved.]

Obi-Wan Kenobi: All right, I have much to learn. Let's go.
