Urvashi Vaid

Urvashi Vaid is known for her 25 years dedicated to promoting civil rights issues for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender persons. She is also known for her award winning book entitled Virtual Equality: The Mainstreaming of Gay and Lesbian Liberation. Vaid lives with her partner, comedian Kate Clinton.
